It's a frosty start to day1 after a night of broken sleep due to an undetermined rumbling sound penetrating the hotel room. It's finally time to start this adventure! The children are on hand to wave me off and the weather is unexpectedly decent. The first stint is on familiar roads on the way to Bridgwater and the bike feels good and the riding is easy even fully loaded. Only one more day to go and the weather forecast is a little foreboding to say the least. Have had to invest in a 12v heated vest as the temperatures are forecast to be low and it'll be wet quite a bit too. Also been and got a 500ml Thermos to take a warming beverage on those long days over snow capped hills. Have been having big breakfasts, lunches and dinners in a vain effort to put on some fat :-)
