Ouchhhhh! That was my first thought as I woke this morning. The yoga and surfing is starting to take its toll and my body not only aches but is exhausted! Need some re cooperation before carrying my life on my back for the next four months.
I argued with myself whether to attend the morning yoga session but decided at last minute that I had no real excuse not to go, so off I went. It was a looonng session... The 2 hours seems to stretch on forever.
After breakfast and down at the beach we hit the surf, I'm getting quite good at catching the waves now and am managing to stand and ride the wave into shore on most attempts so I'm happy about that! That being said, I did leave the water after a few rides as today the waves were huge and so close together. Not only was I struggling to get back out through the waves ( I actually got winded by a wave and the poor instructor had to catch me as the wave was way too strong for me) but I was actually beginning to get quite scared... So out I got after an hour or so and lay in the sun.
A few of us returned to the villa early, I took a nap in the sun before showering ready the BBQ tonight. We were late to the BBQ as two of the other girls decided they needed over an hour to get ready, unfortunately this resulted in us being sat away from the other surf groups on a balcony by ourselves. We still had a laugh though and it was the first time we had had meat and alcohol for the whole trip so people were in high spirits as we gazes at the stars, listened to the drumming music and even had a bit if a dance (well a seared dance... More of a wiggle really with hands flailing around).
We returned to the villa where Alexa tried to teach Annie ( the American) French...this was both amusing and tedious to watch! While I mention some of our housemates... It's amazing how many amazing careers these people have... Mine seems so dull in comparison. We have a Victoria secrets lingerie shopper (male... Poor guy), a Harrods shop assistant with some amusing tales, a red bull events organiser, a girl who worked for BAE and another who owns a company buying and selling gaskets all over the world. Everyone agreed we have the dullest jobs!
Managed to stay awake till gone 11 which given the state of my body was an achievement and a half! After this thought, my bed was calling my name so I called it a day. Tomorrow is more surf and yoga so unless something unexpected happens I shall update you in a couple of days... A la perchoine
