Hey guys! Sorry it's taken a few days but those of you who have been to delhi will appreciate it takes a little while to get used to things there. Where to start?!...suppose 1st impressions of delhi, hot, smoggy, disgusting, scary but yet amazing. I think being honest given half the chance we would both have left delhi within the first hour not to come home (sorry mum!) but to goa where we know it is fairly touristy. We didn't see another westerner for one and a half days so guessing you can imagine how awkward/vulnerable we felt with every single person staring, pointing and generally hassling us. But we stayed and i'm so glad we did, we quickly got accustomed to the manic roads, loony drivers and just everybody wanting our money! After the first day of to put it blunt s***ting ourselves (not literally thank god!haha) we had a really good second day where we hired a driver and tour guide for 600 rupees which is about 7pound for the day and they took us to the majority of the sites...india gate, president's residence, humayuns tomb, massive mosque(forgotten the name already!), red fort which we didn't actually go into but it looked impressive and delhi's biggest bazaar (where we stayed for the whole of 5mins as it was totally minging!). But everywhere was worth seeing and i'll let you all do your own research as i can't be bothered to explain what everything is but it was certainly worth having a couple of days in a city that is so different to anything i have experienced before. We got a train to agra(taj mahal) today. Arrived at about 3pm and we've already visited the agra fort and the taj mahal. The taj is special, could use a whole list of superlatives but they wouldn't do it justice. arrggh stupid computers...i just wrote loads more but lost it and sorry but i'm knackered, will try to write it properly when we have more time. Planning on getting a train to Jaipur tomorrow as we've done just about everything here. Sorry it was brief but i'm tired, hot, sweaty and generally minging! Will try to write something more interesting & get some photos uploaded soon.
