An early start for our morning flight to Havana. 'A small contribution' to the check in guy secured us seats together - we felt rather mean for handing over only 10 CUC when we got on the plane and realised we had the front row of business class!
After the short flight, we took our first trip in a beaten up Lada taxi, from the domestic…

Well done you guys - I can really picture the wet and steep slippy climb. Having walked 100m up a slope at 4200m in Kashmir and being totally knackered....perhaps and a warmer dry day things would have been much different..

Happy and Healthy and Prosperous New Year to you both, whereever you are. The snow has finally gone, the sales are in full swing and we are all well.

5 star longhouse by the sound of it, still you missed the joys we experienced when we stayed in one - fire flies to light our sleeping area, animals running over the roof all night and the biggest brown hairy spider you have ever seen in the shower. The food was good even if the kitchen looked like a major health hazard. xx
