Have loved the new photos and reading the messages on the message board.
Greg: Your Grandad sounds really interesting - will we meet him in July when we come to Southend?
Both: photos look great - is this a product of the new camera?
To any relatives in Oz reading this: loved seeing the photos of you all. I can't put names to faces but I did pick Uncle John out - still handsome. To Debbie, Julie and Karen - I can see resemblances to your mum, Joyce. Someone also looks like our cousin, Sharon! Sure Steph enjoyed some female and family company - hope you gave her plenty of hugs for me!
Love to you both

Enjoyed your blog from Melbourne. Had a nice Easter Sunday with Mum and Dad, visited Haldon Belevedere and Haldon Forest, lovely weather, even had a picnic lunch!

88 days - now just over 1/2 way into your journey -but much more to come.
In this short/long time how have you changed mentally and physically ?
You have seen so many places and peoples - their enviromant and life styles. How has this affected you so far ?

Thought you had both passed into a recuperative big sleep - but realise that you have been packing even more into the great Australia.
Re: your (TidkaAus)
Item 1 and 5 - On checking my diary for 1986 i noted that Australia closes down for Saturday's and Sunday's - Indeed in Tasmania the local newspaper announced with acclaim that Woolworths would shortly be opening on Saturday Mornings ! Time passes but slowly !
The Little Thorpe RUM Club flourishes, indeed is collectilg new mambers. The one with the best eyesight reads aloud your latest journal entry to the gathering - then "Sippers are toasted to you wellbeing with British Navy Pussers Rum (109 proof).
(For 300 years - 1655 to 1970 a dailt tot of this Grog was issued to all seamen of the British Navy - then on 31st July - a notable date - the Goverment of the day stopped this tradition - SHAME)
However this brew is still produced to the original method (if you look hard enough)
Take care love fro Grandad I

Hi guys
It's still great to read your blogs and follow your travels. Your time in Australia sounds particularly interesting and no doubt the oppportunity to spend time with some family members made Adelaide very special. (We're not quite so keen on the sound of the camping, however, especially Rex!). All well here. Lots of love, Nettie and Rex xx
