Day 9 of the connections tour Today was the much anticipated boat trip. when i say boat trip it was actually a full on sailing trip, a proper round the world 80ft professional sailing yauht called the raggamuffin. Day 8 of the connections tour Our trip took us to Airlie Beach - gateway to the whitsundays. along the way we stopped at a shopping mall, perfect timing as it meant for our 3 day "day bag" i could buy new clothes for the duration as i couldnt be bothered to do any more washing. Airlie beach didnt actually have a proper beach it had a man made lagoon, probably just as well as you couldnt swim in the ocean unless you had stinger suits or where in a nette...

day 6 of the connections tour our tour of the island, we started driving down the main highway, so bizarre having a beach as a road. dodgy to cross though as you couldnt hear any noise from the 4wd's. lovely beach but you couldn't swim at all due to the strong currents that take you out to all the waiting sharks. we were also warned to be very careful of the dingoes. every thing in this country has a warning "you may die" we stopped at a shipwre...
