Day 56 to 60 Airlie Beach.

Well we had a nice drive through from Townsville to Airlie Beach to day arriving around 12 noon and booking into the Seabreeze Caravan Park the same place we stayed 8 years ago, and I must say what a change there is in this place. The caravan park has really been cleaned up with new toilets and showers at one end 2 laundry's , New swimming pool , new cabins plus 2 Balinese huts and at the back of the park they are also building and over 50s homes behind the park it looks wonderful and I hope I get to see it when it is finished. So we spent the rest of the day sorting ourselves out and relaxing which we have really got used to.
So today after a good night's sleep we went for a walk along the water front remembering why we loved this place last time we were here .Later in the day we went into Airlie Beach town and walked around the shops with Sandy in her pram of course ,it is a busy little place but I love the shops in town and everyone is so happy here with smiles on their faces all the time ,and so nice to see so many young people as I have been feeling like this trip has been like living in aged care as there are so many old people out here ,(And no Graham and Myself do not see ourselves in that age block haha) So after looking around town and the water lagoon we headed off to Shute Harbour to once again just look at the beautiful water ways then home as we have a BBQ tonight.
We tried to get into Woodgate starting the 14th but booked out so we are able to get in on the 16th ,so we are staying here for 2 extra nights leaving on the 14th giving us 2 days to get to Woodgate ,
We have had a really nice stay here and again it is a place I could live ,the weather have been very kind to us and we have had great weather in the 5 days we have been here ,
