“ah yeah!”
Morning came and we were finally on our way to Oz!!! we got up and were on the free shuttle bus to the airport. I knew we would be in oz in a few hours but it just wasn’t hitting me. On the plane ride over – it was the best flight ever. We had films, fab meals, drinks and ice cream! Arriving was out of this world – as we were descending to land it was just getting dark, the lights beneath us from the roads, streets and cars looked amazing. Getting to passport control was slightly worrying, there were signs everywhere saying we had to get items checked that were wooden. We had quite a few things with us that we had spent a lot of money on, and began to panic thinking that they wouldn’t allow us to keep them. We waited in the ques, and when we got there everything was fine, thank god! Not wanting to spend anymore time in the airport – we looked through at a couple of hostel adverts – called a couple and booked one! We didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a taxi – so caught two buses. Walked in the rain up a huge hill to get to our hostel. We were greeted by a really friendly local who checked us into our room and gave us heaps of information on where we were – Bondi! It was quite and we were hungry so asked the guy of cheap places to get grub from, we found a cheap pizza place that delivered for free – but we still didn’t have quite enough – so he gave us our deposit back! We stayed up with our pizza looking at brochures and leaflets! Our first full day in oz was too good to be true. We took a walk down onto Bondi Beach, we just literatly couldn’t believe we had made it. We had out water proof gear on as it was raining and were set for the day. All day we walked back and forth of our hostel and Bondi shops. Grant was on the look out for a surf board whilst I was on the look out for a jumper. Lol. Grant bought a jumper before me, then we got to an amazing surf shop and a guy got grant exactly what he wanted – a new 9 foot long board with discount and a bunch of other stuff for free! He was on cloud nine, with a huge smile on his face from there on. I was still in search of my jumper – got one in the end which made me happy too! The next day we had our flight up to Cairns. The morning was not the best – we nearly didn’t have transport to the airport as we couldn’t get money out of the bank and we didn’t have enough cash on us to pay for the bus (for us …and the board). We thought we would have an ozzy friendly driver who would waver it and let us on no problem, but no – our luck brought us a cranky isrealian man who was a right arse letting us on the bus without paying the right amount. (a couple of dollars less). Our next worry was if we get charged for the board to be put on the plane and would it actually be on the flight with us. We had been told that large luggage goes on other flights than the passangers. The 1st problem we had was still not being able to get money out. We got to the check in desk – the lady checked about the board – and it was no problem and with no charge! When we got to the departure lounge we were on the phone to the bank trying to sort out the fact that the past couple of days we couldn’t get money out. And when we arrived in Cairns we would need money to be able to pay to rent a van. Anyway – we managed to get through and found out why we couldn’t get cash – we finally got money then celebrated with a Crispy Cream donut whilst waiting to board our flight. Our flight wasn’t as good as the last, we didn’t have our own music and films and we didn’t get an ice cream as good as the last flights. But the good news was , that when we landed the weather was hot! Got our luggage – and to our supprise…NOT! Found out that we cant take the board on the bus – nightmare! So we asked them to keep it for an hour or so, so that we could get the bus to a company called Jucy Rentals. When we arrived we saw two vans parked outside – and prayed that they werent the actual campers! But they were, which put us off straight away. The guy lee behind the counter told us we should take a look. To our surprise it had literatly everything we wanted. We got a quote but it was just too much. We were in desperate need of a van to be able to go get the board, so we got a quote for less days – which wasn’t a lot of difference, plus we wouldn’t get the discount for having it longer. We worked out our budget and had one thought – we would be eating beans for the next month in an illuminous van!!! (id said to grant that I didn’t want anything too obvious that we were campers) and there we were renting a lime green van!!! We got the keys, then had instructions on how to use everything. When lee was showing me all the different things (being the driver) he didn’t have faith in me at all, lol bless. He felt sorry for grant knowing he was travelling with me! Putting the seatbelt on and putting the automatic gear into place and letting the handbreak off was the craziest thing that guy could have done, let me rent a car to drive for 3 weeks! I was on the road… in Australia!!! The 1st 5 minutes out on the road was thee best feeling ever. The mountains surrounded us, the sun was out, driving past palm trees was heaven. This is what id been waiting for. We found a campsite, checked in, then went out to get our 1st food shop together. We actually were rather sensible with trying to save on money to keep to our budget – we didn’t get washing up liquid, who needs that when you can just swill the dishes with hot water?!? We studied the prices and quantity of milk and butter for longer than we needed. Lol. When we got back to the campsite, our 1st campers meal was (you’ll never guess) burgers! We settled down to watch a film in our van with our roof top shutter open – we could see through the tree branches the moon and stars, it was a perfect night…we slept like babies. Woke up bright and early and got ready to hit the road – we worked our way up the coast, stopping at some beaches – trinity beach, keranda beach, palm cove beach and then ellis beach. A beach that will never be topped by any other – for camping at. We parked up inbetween two huge campervans who belonged to two older couples. It was quite nice being in the company of older people. No loud music being played, no one talking really loud outside the van, it was pure bliss. The scenery was like something out of a dream. Pink and blue sky, bright full moon, islands in the distance, palm trees blowing in the light breeze and soft white sand. And last but not least – our mobile home parked literatly on the sand.
We took a walk along the beach, made use of the pool which was freezing, got showered then went to the kitchen to prepare our meal…hotdogs! This ozzy guy, who we found out was a fireman was shocked when he saw 6 hotdogs and 6 buns. He couldn’t believ they were all for just the two of us. We ended up sitting around the bench talking to him and few others til quite late. He had us all in stitches telling about his tropical balls! Lol. Long story, but I bet you can all imagine what that was about. He also made fun of grant at the fact that I was doing all the dirving and that ozzys never let the women drive unless they’ve had a few to drink…and that they call the men who let the women drive – gay, lol. We all got off to bed and with our rooftop shutter open we could see through the tree branches and leaves and could see the moon and the stars, it was a perfect night. Back up for breakfast early, the sea was calm and so peaceful. We set off and as we waved goodbye to our ozzy mates they all had smurks on their faces, probably thining of how gay grant is for letting me drive. We were on our road trip around the waterfalls, where we made a stop at a shopping mall to by a cd. Where we ended up booking our two week honeymoon in fiji.
We then went on and stopped at a lookout in one of the national parks, we walked along a tree top walkway to barron falls. After that we drove through an area called mareeba, which we were advised not to stop at by the fireman. The drive was breathtaking, it was a dream. We stopped at an information shop in atherton where the guy told us to go to a lookout(cant remember the name), where we stopped for lunch- the view was unbelievable. We then were on our way to a place called milla milla where we saw a peanut store which sold loads of different flavours of nuts, and other varities. We had some fun taking photos with a giant peanut man and were allowed to taste loads of nuts. Then went on to milla milla where we saw a campsite, so pulled over and booked in for the night. After setting up camp, grant then decided that he wanted to go and visit the waterfalls so that we could leave for the next area when we got up in the morning- so off we went. The first one we got to was where s*** hit the fan, it was like the end of the world for us – we had filled the momory card in the camera so took it out to swap it over and we dropped it. When we tried to put it back in none of the photos would show up. I didn’t stop crying, I knew our luck was bad but I coludnt believe this had happened. We couldn’t work out why but some of our other cards wernt working either. We were gutted. The waterfalls were lovely but the cards not working had us a bit down, so it was hard to enjoy it. Oh and we couldn’t take any photos. On the drive back to the campsite we pass a local pub, parked up, went straight in and got 2 beers to drown our sorrows. We played a couple of games of pool and were of to the campsite to get some sleep.
Breakfast the next morning was at crawfords lookout. We parked on the side of the road and had cereal overlooking a waterfall. It was a perfect start to the day. On the road again heading for townsville took up most of the day. Just before townsville we went to saunders beach, where we were allowed to park for free for the night. So we stayed there went for a walk allong the beach and then had pasta whille watching the sun set and spent the rest of the night playing cards.
Our next destination was ayr, we drove so far and then stopped at another lookout and had a picnic, the veiw was once again breathe taking. Back on the road we stopped at a computer shop, we knew we couldn’t afford it but we wanted something to save our photos on so we went in and had a look. We saw a cheap laptop and then over came a guy giving us the hard sell. We wernt convinced so didn’t get anything. We went over to the supermarket got some supplies and as we were leaving saw a diferent computer store and went over for a look. The shop had the same laptop but much cheaper so we decided to get it. The guy went out the back to get it and when he came back said that the only one in stock was one that had been brought back because the keyboard had a problem, which had been repaired. Straight away grant asked how much cheaper it would be, and he gave it to us even cheaper. Later on we made it to whitsunday and found a place to park up for the night, then drove into town. Took a walk along Arlie beach front then back along through the shops where we came across a drive through bottle shop (alcohol), we coulgnt believe it so we took a photo – they even had lanes. We stopped in and grabbed a few beers and then went and got a pizza. We went back to our camp kitchen to charge out new toy (laptop), where a german couple asked us to sit with them, they had the same van as us which was parked next to us. We asked them to help us with our photos because the memory cards still wouldn’t show up on the laptop. They didn’t know what was wrong either but then we put one of the cards into their camera – it worked!! So we tried all the others and had the same result, we were so happy that they were actually still on the cards. We ended the evening chatting with the couple and then went our separate ways.
A long drive on the highway.
We set off at 9am and had a long days drive ahead of us, it was to long – very tiring! After to much singing and eating cookies we arrived at a campsite in gladstone, where we met chris, a cowboy!! He was a bull rider from the nothern territory, that was recovering from a broken neck and was visiting his mother who owned the site. Him and his friends invited us over to hace a beer with them – they were pretty drunk and were really nice people. They were playing the eagles’ album out the boot of their car, it was really nice just sitting there under the stars chatting away, plus we got free beers. We were invited by chris to go to an old fashioned pub where they were there was a dance! But kindly said no and made up an excuse but really we left to watch sex and the city dvd’s that two girls who were staying on site lent us. We woke too early so cleaned the van out then that day spent the day at a couple of beaches in a beautiful village called 1770. On the way there we were saying about how we’d drove so far and not seen a wild kangaroo – apart from the dead ones on the side of the roads, then later on we drove past a field where grant shouted – “KANGAROOS!” I slammed on the breaks, pulled over and stood there watching them – it was amazing, our 1st sight seeing of wild joeys. When we got there we went to a beach called Agnus Waters, wandered around the town, where we baught some fresh burgers from a butchers. We drove to a BBQ area and had grub sat one meter from the beach on the coast of Fraser Island, fed the birds our bread. Then drove for quite some time in the dark looking for somewhere to pull over to sleep for the night. It was so scary driving on the highway at night, the bright lights coming towards the van and huge lorries driving right up the rear of the vehicle. I looked like an old granny driving, I was squinting and was looking right over the steering wheel. I was so glad when we finally pulled over into a free car park, we slept there for the night, had breaky in the car park and then were back on track the next morning. Our day was filled with suprises, stopped at a couple of beaches which had no surf, then got to sunshine beach where grant got straight into the sea. He had fun, got a couple of waves on his new board – I got a few snap shots and videos. We then decided to do our weekly food shop where we happened to walk past a photographer shop. We popped in and asked him if he could take a look at our cards. He took a look at them and found that they had viruses on them, it was from when we were in asia using the computers to upload our photos on the blog. He told us we literatly were so lucky as we could have lost them all in one go. All our photos were still there, so he saved them all onto discs for us. We thought he had offered to do that as a kind gesture but mid conversation he mentions money – at that point we didn’t care what the cost was, an hour later with 3 discs having chatted and learnt how to use our camera he charged us 50$. We paid up got the shopping done then were back on the road, we got quite frustrated with the amount we had just paid, but then thought – you cant put a price on the amount of photos we could have lost! We stopped off at a beach front to have lunch, fresh chicken and stuffin bagguettes, fed some more unusual birds and then found ourselves in search for another place to stay for the night – we wanted to stay close to stever irwins zoo, so we could get to it early in the morning. We found a lovely site with all the facilities we needed. But we sat in the kitchen area freezing our asses off drinking hot chocolate sorting out the photos onto the laptop and updating my journal. waiting for our batterys to charge for our full day at the zoo we kept seeing adverts on tv for the zoo which got us real excited, we were like big kids! We ended the night watching two and a half men.
ZOO DAY!!!!
We headed down the road just 3k from where we were staying. The big billboards outside the entrance were for real! WE WERE THERE, FINALLY!!! I’d been waiting for this day to come for years. Steve was everywhere, on flyers, posters, cardboard cut outs and even in magic photobooths, which was a little creepy (people could have a photo taken then get steve put in it with them). We got a map of the zoo and got lost straight away- it wass an enormous place. Everything was so well done, it was so neat and clean. The animals were all looked after and looked healthy and happy. We happened to stroll passed an advert to have a photo with an animal and when I saw koalas on the sign I got strainght in the que. I was surprised at how small the que was- it was one of my dreams to hold a koala, ever since I had a teddy of one off my dad when I was little. I was next inline, I literally was like a bottle of pop. I got up to the booth and the lady put my arms into place and before I knew it the koala was in my arms cuddling me. I nearly cried I was so happy, then the keeper took it off me – I had the biggest smile on my face all day. Next we stopped at the crocoseum to see the show, which was very cheesy but parts of it were brilliant. After the crocs we took a look at all the other animals on the way to the roo kingdom. We bought a pack of food and walked through to a huge park filled with kangaroos and wallabes. People were sat on the grass with the roos, feeding and stroking them. So me and grant got stuck in straight away, it was the most awesome thing to do. We got a bindi burger for lunch, then got a shuttle bus around to the tigers. It was insane – there were guys playing with the tigers in the water. The one guy threw a stick up a tree and the tiger ran straight up there after it – it was unbelievable. After being entertained by the tigers we made our way back to the entrance where all the shops were, we got a few souviniers. After a long full day at the zoo we headed down to brisbane. We got lost and were low on petrol so we stopped at mc donalds to use the wi-fi so that we could check our bank balance and look up a campsite. It was too late for a campsite as we had spent too much time when we got lost in the city. We were too stressed with being in the big city so kept driving down to surfers paradise. Id had enough so pulled up in a parking bay on the street but grant reminded me that we would get fined so I bucked my ideas up and moved on. We eventually found a campsite that was so expensive but we couldn’t risk getting fined. We parked up and had hotdogs in the kitchen area – its was a nice little set up. The following day we went to the beach, it was so dark cloudy and raining so it wasn’t much like the paradise we were looking forward to. I went off track and found us a cinema where we booked tickets to see sex in the city that night. To pass some time by we found a crazy golf course and played to course twice. We found a great campsite where we spent an hour or two playing in the arcade and then updated the blog. Later on we got freshened up and made our way to the cinema.
Got back on the road the next day looking for a beach where grant could surf – we had visited so many. He surfed at surfers paradise and then later that day pacific beach. We did a food shop and then made fagitas at our campsite- they were yummy!!
In the morning we woke and rushed of to the beach for breakfast, then we visited quite a few more along the coast when I realised we had forgotten to give the sites amenities key back!! We drove all the way back and then got back on track. We found a beach where grant had an amazing surf… but I didn’t get any of them on video, so he was really mad. When he came out I explained that I couldn’t see him so he went back in and as he caught a wave the battery on the camera died. He was gutted! After that we drove a bit further and found a rest area on the high way. We made some burgers and then stayed for the night.
The next day we got to byron bay – it wsas a huge beach! We took a look around the shops and then drove to a caravan site. It was quite expensive but it was right on the beach and the kitchen had an amazing view. Grant surfed while I charged up our bateries and watched from the kitchen. For lunch grant opened a pack of 8 sausages and cooked them all – even tho we only had 6 buns. Later on that night we went in to town to rent a movie – it was buy one get one free so we got two and stayed up late watching them.
We woke a 7am to speak to mam and dad on skype to show them our view, made a quick breakfast and were back on the road. We stopped at a load of beaches along the way that day, spent most of the day just watching surfers because the waves were massive. We then got to a place called evans head where we sat on the beach for hours watching surfers and sunbathing. After that we drove a bit further in the dark, and then stopped at another rest area. Grant noticed the amount of stars in the sky – there were so many, it was lush. Throughout the night it was freezing so I kept waking, but it soon got lighter and we were back on the high way – once again searcching for a quiet beach with nice waves. We had a lovely lunch at a lake where we were surrounded by a lot of seaguls. Grant went and dropped some food on the floor by accident so we couldn’t get rid of them. We then spent the afternoon at ‘little beach’ where somebody had gutted a massive fish and left it hanging from a pole. We took a nice walk along the beach which we had all to ourselves. Then we relaxed in a camp kitchen area to charge our things and watch the sun set. After that we drove to mc donalds to use the internet and saw hayleys baby ‘joel’ for the first time. We uploaded our blog and then drove to the nearest rest area where we made chips cheese and beans. We drove a bit further and stopped at another rest area – it was late and extremely dark but we wernt ready for bed, so we messed around with torches taking pictures.
Dolphin day!
We hit the road but were quite low on petrol so stopped at a place called ‘old bar.’ We stopped at a beach with a harbour where grant spotted a group of dolphins. We parked and rushed off to get some snap shots. They were up real close blowing water from the holes in their heads. We stayed there for quite a while talking to people whilst watching the dolphins and pelecans – there were a few flying past us, they were huge and had even bigger beaks. Grant got bored and the dolphins were swimming out towards the sea so we left. We then got lost and came across another beach – grant had had enough of waiting for his next surf and even though it looked crap and that he knew it was a bad idea – he went in! the current was really strong and the waves were huge, but one good thing come of it – more dolphins swam right up close to grant!!! It was increadable. He came out and we watched them swimming with the waves, it was amazing. Later on that night we stayed at another highway rest area, woke up in the morning even smellier, grabbed some cerial then followed the signs for ‘newcastle.’ Saw two signs – one for cardiff and one for swansea which was odd?!? Stopped at a few beaches and realised that we were only one hour from sydney, it was only Wednesday and we didn’t need to get the van back until Monday. On the highway I decided to take a turning where we found a lovely little beach called ‘catherines little bay.’ We relaxed as we were in no rush to get back on the highway, when we did get back onto the highway – we didn’t stop and 80k later were in sydney! It was dark and once again low on petrol, got lost and took a couple of wrong turns, went in the ‘under city tunnel’ (twice) then stopped at a shopping center to get away from the traffic and to kill some time. We fancied the cinema so went up to pay but they requested 17$ each – rediculous!!! So that was that out the window. We grabbed an ice cream at mcD’s then looked up on the internet of rest areas for us to stay. Got back onto the highway and after roughly 6 hours we still couldn’t find anywhere to park up for the night, so began to give up.it was nearly midnight and we didn’t want to get a fine by parking on the street so we parked in a campsite and left the receptionist a note to say we would pay in the morning.
The next morning grant attempted to get the note back so we could have left before anyone noticed. But the reception was already open – we both went in to see how much we had to pay, she was very nice – gave us two fresh towells to go and have a shower, then only charged us for the towells. It was sweet – I now smelt fantastic and felt fresh. After showering we drove around some campsites but they were a little out of our price range so ended up back at the site we stayed the night before. The receptionist was going to let us stay for free, but I went and opened my mouth and mentioned we needed 4 nights, so she ended up charging us, we were gutted! We went to a couple of beaches in the area, chilled out watching the surfers, walked around the shops then went into a mall. When we got back to campsite grant picked up a brochure for crazy golf so we drove around trying to find it – got lost and when we did eventually find it…it was closed. Grant was furious. We went back to the campsite and cooked burgers then went to mcD’s to use their free wifi where we uploaded out blog and photos. Then ended the night with hot chocolate. The next morning we woke up and were both not in the mood to do anything – so we done all our laundry! Had lunch and chilled sat in the campsite with the lake in our view – it was lush! That night we made grub in mcdonalds carpark whilst the blog uploaded then got back to the campsite were we watched the sunset.
Later on that evening we were once again back at McDonalds uploading more of our blog and cooking beans out in the car park so we could have chips, cheese and beans. We felt like rights tramps, but it was fun. The following day we finished typing up all the blog – finally we were up to date. We finished uploading everything from south east asia. When we got back to the camp site we found a ton of games on the laptop so we chilled out playing monopoly, that was until we got disturbed by fire works so got out of the van to see if we could see them from the site – we could and they were fab ones too, we were 5 steps away from our van and we were getting a free display – what more could we have wanted. Got back to monopoly – I lost then started playing a different game and got addicted, didn’t get to sleep until quite late.
Our last day with sunshine – the van.
We got some breakfast then straight away grant was on the laptop playing games so I got showered and done the last bit of laundry. The sun was out and there was no breeze so I sat outside the van, read a book and caught some rays. Chilled out in the afternoon playing another load of games. When we got to bed it was unbelievably cold. We froze through the night so in the morning we warmed ourselves up by having hot milk with our weetabix. We cleaned out the entire van, sorted everything out then set off to hit the highway. We made sure we drove past the Jucy Campa office so we knew where it was for late on in the day when giving it back. We drove to coogee bay where we found a place to stay for the night. Unloaded the van and put everything into the room. Got directions to the Sydney opera house then found ourselves getting lost trying to find it, I pulled over into the bus lane, got out and asked a taxi driver. We were closer than we thought! We only had to drive around 2 corners and THERE IT WAS!!! I screamed out loud – I was so chuffed we’d got there. It was huge! We parked up – which was 9$ for an hour. We made the most of the hour getting lots of photos and walked right up to the top of the steps then looked around all the shops. When we got back to the paying machine – it charged us 15$!!! We were fuming, I rung the machines number to explain – but he said as it was a bank holiday we were being charged at the weekend rate. We got into the van and worried about the next situation we were in – getting to a petrol station to fill it up before giving it in and then actually finding the office…in 30 minutes. Of course, we got lost a couple of times. I had to ask someone how to get there, not long after we finally filled up and got there 20 minutes late. The guys boss was off from work as it was a holiday but if he had been there otherwise we would have been charged for one more days rental. We were so thrilled that he didn’t charge us. He took a look over the van for scratches and found one but we weren’t sure what it was from, we had to fill out a form and didn’t know exactly what it was for. He then looked at the petrol gage and told us it wasn’t full enough, told us that the marker had to be over the full point – I took a look and it was literately a fraction off of it. I turned the engine on and it moved further up and the guy then said it was fine. After the all ok from Jucy we then find ourselves trying to catch a bus from where ever we were back to Coogee Bay. It was so lush not having our backpacks and the board with us. We got a bus and then it came to our stop and the guy told us to wait to catch another bus to Coogee but when we looked at the map we weren’t far so we decided to walk. I had a migraine and was starving, just wanted to lie down. Got back to our room settled down and had a nap and then used up the burgers we had left over from the van – then watched some tv. The following morning we woke up at 8am, got our things together and had to check out at 9.30am. Took a stroll down to the beach and along the coast, found ourselves a bench and just sat there. We walked back to town and got some drinks and a muffin then sat on the beach and played card games. It was lush – everyone was out doing their yoga and meditations, or they were just sat there reading a book, we had time to do absolutely nothing! The place where we’d left our bags opened back up at 5pm, so we made our way back to book another night stay – and that’s where Showan called (Grants brothers mate) just as we were walking through the door!!! He’d just got back from his weekend away so told us to stop by. We left our things at the hostel and went to his flat. When we were looking for the flat we happened to pass his fiancée Heidi in the street and she guessed that it was us so told us to follow her. When we got to the flat they made us both feel so welcome. In the evening they cooked us a meal, we then went to grab our luggage which was just around the corner, then made it back to have tea and freshly baked muffins. Stayed up quite late watching tv and chatting then got to bed. Not having anything planned the next day was amazing – we had a nice lie in and then took a walk that Grants sister Hayley had recommended us to do. We walked from Coogee Bay to Bondi Beach – and it was lush! We followed the path along the coast – took loads of photos of the view, the water was so clear. 2 hours later when we arrived at Bondi we grabbed some lunch then thought about getting a bus back but we found ourselves walking passed all the bus stops and then walked back onto the coastal path…another 2 hours later and we were back at Coogee. We got back to the flat and got showered then started to upload photos onto our youtube account whilst Grant washed the dishes and made everyone cups of tea. We had another lovely meal cooked for us that evening and chilled out whilst Showan baked fresh muffins again – they were mouth watering! Set the alarm for the following morning quite early so we could get up and get everything packed, said our goodbyes to Showan and Heidi as they set off for work then booked a taxi to take us to the airport. We wanted to arrive early as we needed to sort out claiming our tax back. You should have seen us with everything – we must have looked hysterical trying to get 2 backpacks, the laptop bag, our 2 day sacks and the surfboard all down the escalator. It was so embarrassing. We got it sorted then had to go back up the escalator and made it to the checking in desks where we had to wait for them to open. Grant asked me if I wanted my honeymoon gift?!?!? I felt inside his pocket where I found a box, a new wedding ring – mine and snapped as it was a cheap one for travelling and I’d said I couldn’t go on our honeymoon without a wedding ring on so he’d gone out and got me a brand new one as he knew he was getting all the tax money back. It was a really nice surprise and was a lush honeymoon gift. We soon checked in where I asked for an upgrade, they didn’t do upgrades but she changed our seats so that we could sit on top deck. When we boarded it was so adorable, we had a Fijian crew who all wore tropical flowers in the side of their hair and colorful blouses.
