Graham & Jane
For the next few days this blog will only report on Graham's travels.
When i first decided to fix a date for retirement, and start to consider what I wanted to do one of the things on top of the list was visit The International N Gauge Show (TINGS). This is the major show for the gauge in the UK with over 40 different layouts and almost 50 traders showing their wares.
This show exceeded all my expectations, the layouts were fantastic, the skill of the modellers making me very envious and wishing i could get my layout up to the same level. It would be unfair to all the layouts to try and pick a favourite as I went back to all of them at least twice, rather than upload the hundreds of photos I took the attached are a small selection. Some of you may note the model of the APT which you will of course remember from Shildon on Thursday's entry.
For those of you wondering about the dragon, this was part of a novel French layout where the trains pass through the dragon's lair.
I thought I had misplaced the caps but as I was driving through Milton Keynes I came across the famous concrete cows sculptures, and there were the caps. Will make sure I keep hold of them from now on.
