We spent the weekend in Haartbeespoort at the dam. It was absolutely beautiful with buck, monkeys and bush babies all just free ranging all over the place. There were supposed to be some tortoises too, but we only saw one whilst we were there.
The kids found several parks to play in and there was a heated outdoor pool which they enjoyed too.
On Saturday we went to chameleon village, which is a big market hall. Granny was generous enough to give the children R100 each and they could choose what they liked. They loved looking at all the trinkets and settled on some jewellery and soapstone and wooden carved animals. In the afternoon we nipped back to Pretoria to surprise Gemma and mark for their stork party/nappy brai, which was a lot of fun.
On Sunday Matt's cousins came for lunch and it was so lovely to meet them all. Will and Lila recreated pilanesberg with sticks in the garden with their toys from the chameleon village.
