Today I have travelled far. Just down t'road to London! Said bye to mum last night and dad and the cats this morning (Ben had lost his collar and looked very pleased with himself, cheeky beggar) and felt a bit tearful, but it will all be worth it!

Got off the train and the first thing to happen in the big smoke....someone asking me for money. Surprise surprise. The bus was very hot and I looked like the most obvious tourist EVER. Anyway, at Malcolm and Joe's house now in Stoke Newington which is where Daniel Defoe used to live.

Meeting Hugh tonight at Shakespeare's Globe to see King Lear. Apparently it is a 3 hour long marathon of a play and we are going to be stood in the pit! Tomorrow we are going to geek it about a bit and go to lots of museums. I quite fancy the Tower! (Don't think it thinks much of me though ho ho ho). On Thursday we are flying from Heathrow to New York! It's all go!
