Rownd y Byd efo Helen a Fiona!!
G'day!! We've made it to Australia!!
we both have new phone numbers for the next 3 months:
fiona- 0424611553
helen- 0424611554
so now you'll have no excuse for not keeping in touch!!
Ar ol treulio dau ddiwrnod yn Cairns, dyma benderfynnu symyd ymlaen am fod bob dim rhy 'sgwar' yno!! Aethom i fyny i'r gogledd ychydig i Cape Tribulation... am brofiad!! Aros mewn hostel oedd yn nghanol y jyngl, sy'n llawn nadroedd 28 troedfedd, crocodeils anfarth, pryfaid cop anymunol iawn, moch gwyllt, o ia, bron i mi anghofio son am y sharcod ar jeli-fish yn y mor... y cwbl yn gallu lladd dyn o fewn 90 eiliad!!! Gallwch fentro mod i wir wedi mwynhau fy hyn yma... a ddim wedi cysgu llawer, oedd gen i ormod o ofn!!
Dydd Sul aethom i Port Douglas er mwyn cael mynd i snorclo yn y Great Barrier Reef. Rhaid i mi gyfadda mai hwn ydi'r profiad mwya ffantastig hyd yn hyn!! Er i ni orfod gwisgo siwt lycra las un pishyn (peidiwch a meddwl am hynna' n rhy hir plis) roedd y diwrnod yn un gwych. Unwaith es i mewn i'r dwr, r'on i'n teimlo fel mod i mewn byd gwahanol!! Nes i banicio braidd pan welais i ddau sharc yn nofio odanaf (!!!) ond gan fod bob dim o gwmpas mor dlws a chyn gymaint o bethau i'w gweld, doeddwn i ddim yn ofn yn rhy hir. Profiad hollol surreal ond yn un dwi'n argymell i bawb fynd i neud!!
After a couple of days being totally confused with which day it was,we finally settled in, while walking along the street in Cairns I stopped and announced - " aargh, were in Australia!!!!" it took a while to sink in! But within a few days we'd found our way into the rain forest! We travelled north of Cairns to Cape Tribulation, the area where Captain Cook first set foot! We had a great guide taking us there, he took us for a walk in the forest, and showed us the spiders, the lizards and even a very large snake!! We got to meet a few Cassowarys ( rare big birds) and Holly the orphaned Joey( baby kangaroo) she was so cute! And he warned us of the Crocs and the deadly jelly fish, or Stingers as they're called( they can kill you in 90 seconds) We spent a few days in the jungle, where I went on a horse ride along the beach and through the rain forest and even visited a swimming hole up the river, where Mick & Buffalo(out guides) painted our faces, we had such a great afternoon!! Then we travelled down to a town called Port Douglas, on the way we went on a cruise down the Daintree River, where all the Crocs lived, they were very scary, and very close to our small boat!!!! From Port Douglas we went out to the Great Barrier Reef, for a days snorkelling, what an experience, it was amazing, I recommend that you all go there!! the only bad part was that we all had to wear bright blue lycra suits (1 piece with hood and gloves) imagine....
Then we made our way down to Townsville for a few days, and visited Magnetic Island. Then on to Airlie Beach, a great place, we were meant to go around the Whitsundays Islands but believe it or not it was canceled due to bad weather!! We've had nothing but rain!!
We're off to Hervey Bay tonight, catching the overnight bus for a 13 hour journey!!! Will keep you posted..... bye for now!
