We arrived Canberra after a long 16 hour bus journey from Byron Bay (via Sydney) ( I'll let you in on an embarrasing fact - we were on the bus arriving into Sydney, we saw the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, and we both got very excited that we were in Australia, yes we know its taken a month and a half...... anyway...). Back to Canberra, which we have to admit is a strange capital city, very quiet. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and most shops were closed... we were sure that we must be missing something, but people assured that we weren't!??? What shall we do we thought, so we went shopping...again!! We also visited the Museum, Science&Technology Centre, Art Gallery, and the Old + New Parliment Houses!! So all in all we had a very educational few days! We also visited Cockington Green Gardens (recommended by Uncle Hal) we had great fun there! Everything was a miniture version of popular land marks! We even got to go on the little train! Not much to report from Canberra unfortunatley, so were off to Melbourne next, looking forward to it very much. Ta ra Fi xx
