Subway downtown to World Trade Centre where we met Kerry and Graeme for coffee before the boys (finally!) arrived and we walked down to the ground zero site. Another beautiful warm and sunny morning in New York City! Roey headed off before us to shop for a new camera and we met him on the Highline after getting the subway to 34th st and walking across to 30th and 10th. This is fabulous - an old eyesore that was once an elevated railroad for freight is now a wonderful walkway, all the way down to 13th st, with shrubs, flowers, seating and ample viewing areas down to the city below. Day two in New York City, brilliant sunshine and about 74 degrees! And what an awesome day! Decided to spend our day Midtown. Prebooked our "top of the rock" tickets before we left (in retrospect probably unnecessary) then headed off to our nearest subway station, just up and across 42nd st at Port Authority. Can't believe it - we've been away 3 weeks already!! Our first night in Santa Barbara feels like yesterday - but we have done so much!!
