A swim before (and after) breakfast proved a great start to the day. Crystal, one of resort receptionists helped with reconfirming flights, transfers and booking a tour for tomorrow. Then caught the shuttle bus the short distance to Cua Dai beach.
We had been warned that storms and bad weather had eroded much of the beach away - but we were pleasntly surprised. We wandered a significant distance along to An Bang Beach which definitely had a greater expanse of sand but seemed to be attached to resorts and hotels, The more appealing atmosphere was certainly back at the palm-fringed Cua Dai, dotted with seafood restaurants. Once we found our beach chairs under an umbrella and negotiated that we didn't pay anything as long as we ordered drinks and food, we were set to enjoy and relax! The water temperature was sensational - compared to the tepid resort pool. Was fun to enjoy waiter service on the beach - particularly at such affordable prices! Some beach hawkers and yes I got conned again but only because she was so delightful and spoke fluent English.
By 3pm we were ready to catch the shuttle back which unfortunately didn't arrive (?) but once we contacted the resort we and our new found Japanese friends were picked up in a taxi. A quick freshen up before catching the shuttle into town. First stop a shoe place (one of so many) where raym bought a pair of sandals and I ordered a couple of pairs of shoes to be made! Hope this works out! Then it was to the tailors to check on the suit - all ready just a few minor (hopefully?!?) adjustments. We were both dripping with sweat yet again but I left Raym (briefly ) while I did a little more shopping but soon found him in time for a cocktail (Long island ice tea tonight ...)
By 730pm we found our restaurant where the resort had made a reservation for us as came highly recommended both from home and in Vietnam - "Morning Glory". (Thanks Lee!) Lived up to it's reputation - was really beautiful! Crispy pancake, whole red snapper and green papaya salad with shrimp.
Back to bed now after a day in the sun and an early start tomorrow morning!

DAD You just might get used to living in the lap of luxury. The credit cards must be getting a bit of a workout! Guess what! The SUN is out AND for the whole week!
