Ottawa - Canada's capital city is built on the river. My friend Sharon, who I met in Laos and then again in Vietnam last year, came by Guelph, picked me up at Dad's and off we went on an eight hour odyssey....way off the route because we were talking talking and not watching the map....same old same old for me, everywhere.......always lost.
It was great to reconnect with Ottawa - last time I was there it was minus thirty so summer in the Capital was a treat. As was the opportunity to meet all of Sharon's amazing smart and worldly friends. I was lucky enought to stay for her big birthday party and it was a delight. As was a very cool light show on Parliament Hill that played nightly to music - just like the one I had seen in Toledo Spain just a few weeks before. Obviously the cool new thing and cool they are.
