On top of everything else he does, German is a famous children's entertainer, named Maromero. In Central America he is known everywhere by both parents and children alike. Everywhere we went, kids would run up to hug him and parents would laughingly say how tired they were of hearing his songs.

Even in McDonald's one of his CDs was playing. Although he usually does big concerts, he does do little gigs where he can make a difference and on this day we were lucky enough to tag along to a little 'girls only' orphanage in Heredia. German and his kids followed a service at the catholic orphanage and the girls were mesmerized by him and his gift of song and movement. His joy really is contagious.  

During and after the concert, the girls, obviously starved for attention, just clung on to any adult they could find. 

 

The little girl who chose Louise refused to be let down and just wanted to be hugged and held.


Most of the girls are special needs kids and they sooooo loved Maromero coming to them for an intimate little event. For a couple of hours they truly were princesses in their fancy dresses and shoes! Even so I am not sure who had more fun - the girls or German and Diego and David.
