LL and I were met by our guide Nourden who took us out to Safari Land. Here we road a quad bike, drove a dune buggy, road a camel, had lunch and then squished in a van for a bumpy, dusty erratic drive through the desert to a bedouin camp
All a bit ho-hum for us after all the amazing stuff we have seen and the brilliant places we've stayed and the delightful people we've met, but glad I did the trip anyway. The others in the van were from the UK and this was all they were seeing of Egypt - staying in a ritzy resort and a day trip to SafariLand. OMG what a different story they will tell of Egypt when they get home.
On our return to Movenpick we met up with Linda, who had decided she just wanted to chill out in the luxury of the resort, and headed to the restaurant for dinner.
After dinner the others went back up to the room. but I stayed in the foyer writing my blog and sending postcards to John and Nathan, and then dropped in to watch a belly dance show taking place in the bar. I went up to get the girls, but they were both sound asleep and it was only 8.45pm.
So time to quietly pack my bag ready for the flight back to Cairo in the morning.
