Arrived yesterday after a bloody long flight, although it was pretty smooth! We realised Chris left his fleece in Leon's car....sounds about right! It's sweltering hot but no sun and just lots of cloud, it also rains quite a bit too. When we got off the plane we decided to get a bus to our hotel, it was a bargain... a pound each, travelling up and down steep hills with a load of locals, needless to say we looked a bit out of place. I think the bus driver was a bit of a loony driving at god knows what speed down tiny roads with sharp bends and oncoming traffic-talk about needing spare undies! Arrived at Mui Wo ferry port (last drop off point for the bus) at about 9pm their time, we're 7 hours in front of u. Tried to find a taxi to take us to our hotel, went into the shop to find a taxi number, as there were no drivers in the taxi's by the ferry-apparently they were all having tea. So chris phoned a taxi so we could get to the hotel, but apparently they didnt speak English!!!!! So after laughing quite a bit we were feeling a little helpless and lost! Luckily we heard a women walking past who spoke English and she walked us to our hotel she had been living here for 5 years...talk about luck! Hotel quite nice surrounded by mountains and water, bit secluded and a bit like a ghost town, staying here one more night then off somewhere else tomorrow (sunday). Found some bars, but for local people! Off to see the Big Buddah today..... Update u all soon, Lotsa love the travellers x x x
