Glenn's Travels
I've popped down the coast a bit (another 5 hours on the bus), and I'm now in Airlie beach - gateway to the Whitsundays. Now, any time I've mentioned Australia, or asked about what's good to do, I've been told that I absolutely have to go to sail the Whitsundays. Everyone says it. So that's what I'm gonna do. I'm booked for a 2 day 1 night trip aboard the sailing ship siska (i think that's its name), where i'll be taken to all the great beaches etc. of the islands. So that's going to be cool. I'm getting very used to being on a boat, and I'm definately enjoying it. I absolutely loved my time aboard the Scubapro III and Sea-esta. The crew and other passengers were fantastic, and the diving was awesome. Prodive are an excellent company, so if you're ever in the area, check them out. And it's nice to have actually got a couple of qualifications out of the whole deal. I'm looking forward to not doing a lot tomorrow. I'm booked in Beaches Backpackers tonight and tomorrow night, so I'll be able to get a good lie-in tomorrow. I've got a pile of laundry to do though, so I have that to look forward to, but apart from that I'm a man with nothing to do. It's a fantastic feeling. Even if it'll probably only last a couple of days...
