HELLO EVERYONE !! loving your messages!!!! Since we last updated we have spent two nights in ko pagahan , our hotel was right on the beach and the beach was empty, lovely just to spend two nights reading books, relaxing and enjoying some english food in the english country style pub we found in the middle of nowhere. We then went back to ko samui for two nights but this time stayed in a little fishing village called bo phut which was lovely and picturesque and they had a night market on the friday where we got lots of bargains!! ( although the area was a little more expensive than the rest of thailand and alot of the people were french). We also spent a day doing a jungle tour where we went elephant trekking, swam in the waterfalls and gizz held and fed a tiger which was a brilliant day. We left Ko samui on monday and caught a 14 hour bus and ferry journey to Penang, malaysia where we are now, seeing lots of random elephants strolling down the street along the journey. The bus journey was yet another nightmare one, which we are all too used to, think we had to get off and on about 5 different buses/minibuses, with noone telling you what the hell was going on, but we have found transport in thailand to be alot like that! We arrived in Penang about 10pm (after leaving ko samui at 6am) and checked into our hotel , which was vile~!! ha we looked round about 8 other hotels the next morning and i cant certainly say i have never seen rooms like it-disgusting! However - you will be glad to know that we have found a lovely CLEAN- SMELL free hotel and we love it. Its a bity liek easy jet, you pay for everything you want to use ha, 50p for towels, 10p for hairdryer etc etc. SO, so far we have spent two days in Penang and we absolutely LOVE IT!!, Its soooo cheap ( its tax free and cheaper than thailand on lots of things) and the people are the nicest people ever!!! They love to practice their english talking to you, and are just generally friendly people. There are dozens of large shopping malls, so ive been dragging gizza round the shops, weve also been walking LOTS to see all the temples, museums and sights, we even stopped to watch a film at the cinema! Weve just got in from the nightmarket where they had a singer and curry!! ( they have lots and lots of indian food here!!). We are just about to pack our stuff ready to leave for Langkawi ( an island just above penang) tomorrow morning! Will update again soon!! Lots of love!xxxxxxxx
