hey guys!!
sorry that all our blogs are very very very late as we all been sooooo busy, no time to upload photos and blog.
Turkey was fabulous experience and time. cant really cay the same abt the train journey from athens to istanbul which took 28 long, long long HOURS!! including overnight and 6 hours waiting at a isolated train station at the border of Greece to Turkey. after sorting out with the turkish border, paying 15 euros for visa, we all finally arrived Istanbul in the evening, we were so hungry, went straight to the nearest turkish restaurant, eating the local cuisine. after long hike uphill, searching for our accommodation, finally found it and we all crash out asleep- exhausted
on the next day Monday 23rd August, only three of us as dear laura has departed for Cold England and Camilla will be joining us tomorrow (tues 24th)
we all went to visit the Topkapi Sarayi Palace, which was massive and beautiful, spend practially all day sightseeing and stopping for drink as the weather was very hot. in the evening us three went to a Turkish bath, where we were told to strip down to nothing and wrap ourselves in towels. Relaxing in warm room with hot and cold water to wash ourselves. soon each of us were taken to another room with lady massuere wearing only bikinis. we all were butt naked, lying on the marble table whilst the ladies washed, scrubbed, massaged all of us, venturing to very ticklish places, we all stifled our laughters *winks*
the bath and massage was actually very relaxing after a while to get used it. drying up wearing towels and dressing gown, drinking delicious apple and orange teas, we let our minds run away- daydream til it time to get dress and back to our hostel feeling really nice and clean.
On tuesday 24th, Camilla was joining us today, from the moment she walk into the hostel, we all questioned her with the news from england and gossips, then immediately departed for the two mosque, The blue Mosque and Ayasofya Mosque, we spend all afternoon looking around.
in the evening we book a dance show- Dance of Colours, a show consist 10 different dances from 10 different regions of Turkey. the show was spectacular! with some of our favourites shown in the photos.
on Wed 25th, checked out of our hostel and visited the famous 'Grand Bazaar' market and shops under one big building, with hundreds of streets and passages. absorbing many cultural clothes and colours and beauty. getting a tattoo (fake-henna) to remember our trip to Istanbul, see photos.
in the evening we departed istanbul to make our way to Bulgaria, our 12th country but 2nd for camilla's
