:) hey guys!! it is me (Sarah) rather than Pete sorry i havent written for a while -actually like never!! he he - but Pete always steals the computer so i cant! but i have been handwriting a journal so im sure i'll bore u with that when i get back!
we had a great night out the other night. went to a bar on the beach called La Med which looked like something out of the O.C, got very drunk too and danced the night away! managed to do the usual and have a dance off with some s. african guy - i kicked ass!! apparently i was talking to some drug dealer outside our hostel for hours and was having a great time but dont remember much of that. As Pete puts it 'i would talk to a lamp post when I'm drunk' - cheeky git!! after that a couple of us went to some dodgy black mans club. Julius (our driver from the tour) had to persuade the bouncer to let us in cos we were white! should have gone home then really but being drunk we thought it was great!! didnt end up staying there very long surprisingly!
Went up Table Mountain the next day which was brilliant. wasnt really interested to be honest at first but when i got to the top it looked stunning!! a couple of our friends decided to abseil down the side of it which looked so scary! they have burns on their backs now and had to go to the doctors. glad i didnt do it now ;)
Went on a 'Cape wine tour' yesterday which was great. it was a day of luxury - just what i needed. that is the first time in my life i have been pissed by 11am! i am now a professional wine connesieur (sorry cant spell it). I can now hold a wine glass like a proper lady!! although i had a bloody good ale today it was 11%! called 'old wobbly'.
As pretty as this place is, i must admit the crime rate is shocking, one of our friends has already been mugged. Thought pete and I were going to get mugged last night cos some black 'african chavs' ran across the road at us, so i got scared and started walking really fast (to save myself he he), luckily they only wanted some money and didnt pull a knife on us...phew!
We went on a township tour the other day and got to go to the really poor regions. It was so sad to see how many families live in one house. The housing conditions are awful and they stink!! still havent seen gang 28 sprayed anywhere yet dad but i am looking!!
Right i'd best be off, times ticking in all, we are hiring a car tmw and heading off down the coast to cape point cos this city life is driving us nuts so hopefully that will be good!
Mum and dad thanks for the msg cos i thought u came back from antigua last weekend and was just ignoring me!! Enjoy the rest of ur holiday on ur safe little island! let me know when ur back!
Love u all! tra

sarah is just joking by the wayabout the whole journal writing thing - i dont ever hog the computers - honest!!!!
loved table mountain (after convincing sar to even go up!!) and the wine tour as sar said was wicked. we can now tell the age of a wine by looking at it, understand all of the vintages, know how champagne is made and are just general pro's!!! if this was my last stop i would have bought cases and cases of wine as the ones we were tasting were awesome!!! and really cheap compared to uk - one lovely bottle of port worked out at about 3 pounds!!! still gutted i didnt buy it!!!
speak to u soon
