In less than ten hours this intrepid band of pilgrims will be leaving home for 14 days on an amazing Walkabout in Myanmar. To even think about getting some sleep before we go will keep me awake. The 40 minute window I have allowed you will make sure that when parents leave at 3.40 am we are ready to go. There will be a bit of housekeeping at the airport in that 40 minutes so pilgrims will have to be on the ball and have access to their main cases
The view of the packing changed and Helen and I managed to squeeze everything bar a shopping bag full of gear into our cases and backpacks and stayed below 20 kgs. So when the troops gather it will be a case of squeeze this in please? So be prepared.
I have had some encouraging emails from Myanmar (Helen read an article and it said the first part of the name is pronounced like Me) . Bishop John, Philipo and Fabian all pray for our safe travel and are as excited about us going as we are about being there. Fabian (Pastures Green) will be meeting us at the airport when we arrive with a bus to take us to our hotel.
I feel very blessed to be going with such a great group of young people, including Helen and Karen.
The adventure begins
