Hello everybody,

Oh yes. Yes, yes, bloody yes. Why on earth didn't we stay here for 5 weeks? This place is beautiful. It's a small village about an hour south from Guilin. Backpackers everywhere (we haven't really seen a white face for 4 weeks) so we don't get ALL the stares! It’s surrounded by gorgeous green peeks and mountains. This is finally it. We have such an amazing room with (wait for it) soft beds. China has a thing about rock hard beds! It also has a lovely view over the river and you can see lots of mountains in the background. Wow, really happy here. But for some reason we both ended up feeling ill for 4 days of it. We weren't that bad but we didn't feel 100%. Glad we weren't ill anywhere else in China because it would of felt a lot worse had we of not been in such a lovely place. We decided as within a couple of hours of getting here that we'd do nothing. No tours, no real site seeing, nothing. Meaning that we hadn't stopped traveling, walking, hiking for 9 weeks now and we both felt that we just had to stop and chill. It was just nice! We stayed on the best street as well with lots of little shops and restaurants around us. We met up with a guy traveling on his own named Mike. He was from the USA and we had lunch and dinner with him a couple of times. We just wandered around the village a lot (took all of 10 minutes) and just chilled right out. So this is going to be a short journal, sorry! We did absolutely sod all for 5 days, great :o)

We are traveling back up to Guilin this evening as we have to get the coach from there to travel down to Hong Kong again. We will stay in Guilin for just a night to break it up a bit. We plan to stay in Hong Kong for two days. One day just bumming about and the last day back at Disneyland again. The only reason we're going back to Disney is to cheer us up. China has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs. Mainly downs but we have no regrets. We'll do a quick update again just before we fly out of Hong Kong to go Thailand, can't wait.
