Well its been a long time since i wrote one of these sorry. Where do i start, we have been so busy. Paige left us today after a lovely 6 weeks with her - yes there were tears. Anyway we made it to the full moon party, it was crazy. we had to get a long boat to the beach where the party was taking place, a very full boat in the dark. when we arrived at the beach it was full with fire dancers, fire skipping and lots and lots of cheap cheap drinks (in buckets). We lasted until 5.30 then our bodies were finished, so back home on the long boat we went. The next few days were sunbathing and recovering from some nasty hangovers. After a lovely 5 day on the island we decided to visit the diving island of Koh tao, again we stayed at a really nice place called Coral View, you could only get to it by 4x4 as the road had not been built yet - perfect, Paige and i sunbathed, while andrew did a spot of snorkeling, he spotted many fish and a small shark. We spent 3 days here before taking the 10 hour journey to Bangkok. When we arrived we had to find anywhere to stay, most places were full, but i found a really cheap place just off the Kho san road. It was like a old fashioned childrens home, very small, very smelly and very very hot. but it only cost 1 pound 75 each so it will do. We did move the next day, and this has been our home for the past 8 days. We have enjoyed Bangkok, seeing all the temples, reclining budda, going in tuk-tuks - very interesting. We went on a river boat taxi to see the grand palace, and other places of interest. This was a great way to see the city. We spent most nights drinking and eating at the local hawkers stands, where we eat for 50p, enjoying a few singhas, tigers and changs all lovely beer. The food has been good, alot of very spicy food. All of us have done a little shopping well we have been here, enjoying the delights of wheeling and dealing with the locals. The weather has been really hot all the time, the hottest day was when we took the bus with all the locals to the famous chatuchuk market, 15.000 stalls, its sold everything from food to animals (that was sad to see). The last few days here we have been out alot, coming home at 4 or 5 in the morning, going to really strange clubs, people watching here is the most fun, watching all the thai women looking for their future husbands???? The only thing that we have not liked is how the tuk-tuk drivers try and rip you off all the time, by taking you to places you did not want to go, just so they can get the commission, this can get a little annoying but oh well its all an adventure in the end. We are off to Laos tomorrow, we are taking the sleeper train from Bangkok to Vientaine. Off on our own again, we do miss Paige already and just wished she could have stayed. We will add photos soon. Happy birthday to ali, grandma and dadda. Congrats to Katie and Ben x
