Well the trip almost over with us leaving Malaysia tomorrow (Friday) night and back in Coffs Saturday afternoon.
Paris is a must see for anyone with amazing museums and sites. Nothing better than to wander the streets and people and building watch. We had an apartment in the West Bank in St Germaine which was a great way to end our Europe trip. With supermarkets and bakeries all around, we were able to cook our own meals when we wanted. Paris has to have the best public transport system in the world. Cheap and so easy to get around. Makes Sydney seem ridiculous.
Kuala Lumpur was a stark contrast culturally, building structures and weather wise, and also expense wise as well. We have a club room with views of the Petronas Towers. A nice way to end the trip. I must say that I love the vibrancy that Asian cities possess but Robyn is not a fan. KL is very much more like Singapore than say Vietnam. Very safe with lots of security staff and huge shopping malls absolutely everywhere. Not even that has brought Robyn around. We have tickets for the Towers tomorrow and a bit of a slower day planned before we fly out.
Have had a wonderful time and seen some amazing sites and cities. We have had such contrasts. 2 weeks ago we were in Berlin and today in Malaysia. That is the beauty of travel.
We will be glad to get home. 8 weeks is long enough to bad away from family and friends and the comfort that comes with a bit of routine.
