We haven't even left yet and I'm already discovering who I am... a control freak!

There's no denying I love a good plan, but I wasn't quite prepared for how much planning this would involve. In my mind we had so much time to prepare and now typically there isn't enough.

Any organised human creates lists, but since deciding to embark on this trip of a lifetime I've written about 1000, including Liam's - and even then he was checking if he'd done the task correctly. What have I become?

Packing is a whole new dilemma which has further highlighted the freak inside of me. Not only have my clothes been out and ready for a few days now, but I've gone as far as purchasing clear, colour coded, plastic wallets so my items can be filed - FILED!? The banter has been incredible!

Of course Liam has been completing his assigned tasks by researching some exciting places for us to visit and obviously this entailed enthusiastically finding out whether there were any test matches in Australia when we arrive - to my utter disappointment there wasn't!

Now I'm pleased to say that with only 7 days to go our list is on its final leg, and I'm hoping once we get on that plane the laid back lady inside of me will surface.

Let the control freak disappear…..

....oh who am I kidding I think she's here to stay, sorry Liam :/
