Day 19 June 1 Caught the bus back to Vancouver and luckily the driver dropped me off opposite the hostel that I am staying in. Saved me having to walk 3 blocks carrying my bike and luggage. The hostel advertised free secure bike parking on their web and yes it was free and it was secure because no one could navigate their way past all the stuff stacked up to get to it. Day 15 May 28 More travelling. Caught the 7.45 am bus out of Victoria and then had 1.5 hrs to wait for the bus to Whistler. Finally arrived at 3:30pm and checked in to the hotel where I am staying. Day 11 Spent most of the day on the road travelling to Tofino on the west coast. This is a really rugged coast that is exposed to the wild weather that comes in from the Pacific and it rains more days than not. We stopped on the way at Cathedral Grove which is an area of old growth forest and has some of the largest trees in Canada. They were certainly big as the photos show. Day 1 After what seemed like forever, I finally made it to Brad & Kim's place (and little Katies) at 9:30 pm on the same day that I left, but with gaining a day thru the International Date Line, it was really the following day. It was a long trip anyway, 2 full days.
