Still on our quad biking buzz from Corfu, thought we'd continue in Santorini. After receiving very in-depth instructions on where to go from lady at bike store still managed to zoom right past the turn off and ended up halfway up the island before we realised - lucky island is so small!! Much to mine and Zara's delight, Aimee 'Schumacher' 's quad seemed to be a bit lacking in the power department, very putt-putt up the hills despite her giving it full throttle! Navigated our way to Red Beach without too much further trouble, 'Schumacher' lagging a bit on the straights but making up ground on the corners. Parked up our quads and scrambled down the hill to the Red Beach - aptly named as has a massive red cliff behind it and red stones along the shore. After swimming and sunbathing, jumped on a little boat we assumed was going to the White Beach, unfortunately it took off in the wrong direction so did a bit of a loop back past the Red Beach before getting there. Very original with their naming, the Greeks - as we came around the corner, cliffs changed from red to white and the water appeared super blue and clear as the stones on the bottom were white too. This is apparently the beach for topless sunbathing as we were greeted with many boobies after stumbling into shore from waist deep water. Was wearing shorts on the boat, apparently not the way to go as the driver was yelling 'take it off, take it off!' before I jumped in. After a photoshoot out in the ocean and a quick sunbathe it was back on the little boat to go pick up quadbikes. Racing the sun now, made all the more challenging by putt-putt bike which I was now riding up the hill to the lighthouse. Made it to our romantic sunset viewpoint for cheese and crackers, grapes and juice boxes accompanied by conversation of marriage proposals, high powered careers and brazilians.....oh and the stunning sunset.
