First day in Surfers Paradise, to be honest we were expecting much more from it.  Byron was such a gorgeous place, coming to Surfers we were expecting it to be the same but it wasn't.

 We checked into the hostel Islanders with Chris and all got into a 4 bed dorm.  With and en suite and a fridge!!!  We were rather excited with these luxuries!  First impressions however was that it was a bit quiet but it was over all a nice place to stay.  Swimming pool, hot tub and tennis court all out side our door, what more could you want really?!  That night Josie came round, Pam bought a box of goon and I bought 8 bottles of pre-mixed jack daniels and coke. Yummmm...much nicer than the goon!  Lol.  We all got pretty merry in the room and then decided that Josie was going to stay the night.  However on our way to getting her stuff me and Pam got sidetracked by a bar!  Typical!  So we left chris and josie to get their stuff.  It was actually a really fun night considering we weren't supposed to be going out and we met a guy called Matt who's from Formby!  We thought that was pretty cool and he got us free drinks!  Then on the way home we danced in the street to a guy busking with a gang of aussie men.   Funny stuff!

Next day, euuuuugggghhhh hung over!  Pretty much lay on the beach all day, weather was rubbish but staying as still as possible was the best thing to do at the time.  Randomly met Fran on the beach which was cool and then later on we met Alan who was on the surf camp, he was actually staying in the room next to us which was pretty bizzarre!  The 4 of us played tennis than that evening for about an hour and a half which was fun, me and chris vs pam and alan.  Didn't drink that night!

Following day the weather was still cloudy so we decided to go to Southport...aussie style!  Pam got extremely excited and took lots of pictures of signs saying southport, we got a lot of funny looks!  I bought some shorts that day and Pam bought 2 hairbands and a top, for the bargain price of $5!  I won't tell you how much i paid for my shorts hehe, altho i still thought they were a bargain!  Pam disagreed!  Later that day we went back and played tennis again.  I got injured twice!!!  First by chris and his serve which is way too fast for my liking, the ball hit me right on the thigh, and then it started raining and I slipped over and hurt my other thigh and my wrist.  I called it a day after that and went to call mum feeling sorry for myself, the others carried on for a bit until they got too wet.  That night I sat in the hot tub while Chris and Pam stood on the egde entertaining me by singing 'we're walking in the aaaaiiiirrrrr'  to then turn round and find they had more of an audiance than they realised!  Slightly embarressing although I found it hilarious!  That night was fun, we 1st went to an Irish bar and watched everton...well I watched Pam jumping about like a loony!  Then because it was one of the lad's birthdays who we were out with at the time he decided he wanted to go to a strip club, we lasted a whole 10 minutes before we had to leave.  It wasn't cool!  Went to another bar, danced a lot and drank even more!  No surprises there!

Next morning woke up around 8, and none of us were feeling hung over which I was surprised about.  We all headed off to the beach where we sun bathed all day and swam in the sea with all the big waves.  Then headed back and once again me and Chris played tennis  (no injuries this time thankfully) while Pam had a snooze. 

Woohoo movie world the next day which was sweeeeeet!  Me and Pam got up early and got the bus at 9:45 to the theme park.  We went on some ace rides, the 1st one being Batman, which is like the playstation ride at blackpool but higher (we thought) and another massive ride called Superman which was a rollercoaster.  Log flumes, haunted ride rollercoaster etc etc.  It was a really good day anyway and we had lots of fun!  That night was our last night, we decided we were going to go out for a few drinks but first pre-drank in our room.  Pip, Vicky and Fran joined us which was ace.  Then I looked up and saw some shoes balancing on the balcony above us.  I said out loud 'are they balanced really well or are there feet in them?'  A guy then shouted down saying there were feet in them and we invited him down to join us!  Very random way of making new friends.  He was called Chris anyway and came out with us too.  Extremely late night, lots of dancing!  We were only supposed to go out until 1am, I ended up going to bed at 6, Pam went to bed at 3.

Thats pretty much Surfers Paradise anyway, Brisbane and Noosa next!
