Its all about Australia
Only really went to Nara to see the big Buddha. When we got there we got a tour guide and saw that there was some old tombs to go and look at. We made our way north towards were we though the tombs where. After about an hour trekking we saw what we thought was going to be the entrance to where the tombs are but it turned out to be a military base and the tombs where to either side of it! Not to sure what i was expecting the tombs to look like but they where basically two islands over grown with trees and plants! You can see on the pictures, not the best but suppose it was worth a look.
We then started to head down to Todaiji Temple where the larges Buddha in the world is housed. So it took us about another hour to get back to were we began and then to the temple! The temple itself is pretty impressive actually and the Buddha inside is even better! got court in a rain storm thou. It was a case of spot the English as all the japanese and other foreigners pulled out umbrellas and rain coats me and Daz where there in just the shorts and T-shirt thinking "come on boys it only a bit of rain!!"
Its my last night in Kyoto tonight and we are making our way down to Osaka tomorrow!!
Think i could do with a few beverages though!
