On to Kyoto. Heard a lot of good things about Kyoto. When we got there we hadn't booked anywhere to stay and all the hostels were full!! We were struggling big time! After about 2 hours of trekking around Kyoto with our massive bags on we found a place called the budget inn! They had no space but told us there sister place the tour club was also full but were allowing up to 4 people to sleep in the common room1 Get in that will do us!! So we spent to nights Sleeping on the floor of the common room in the tour club! Cos it took us so long getting a place to stay we just spent the night mincing around Kyoto and drinking beer! Its class here they have vending machines everywhere and some of them sell beer! Imagine that in England there would br thousands pf pissed up 10 year olds staggering about the street but you don't see any of that here! Got back to the Hostel bout 10 o`clock and just carried on drinking and chatting to all the randoms in the tour club. The only problem with sleeping in the common room is that you don't get to bed till about 11.30 and you've got to be up at 07.00!! Not a big fan of early mornings any more!!
