On 28 JUne we spent the morning trying to sort out our mobile technology at a phone store in the heart of Rome without great success but at least managed to get 2 local mobiles happening. After a lazy morning we arrived early at the bottom of the Spanish steps, early for our Twilight Walking Tour. The sheer volume of people just hanging out was as impressive as the steps themselves. We both woke up early with a combination of jet lag and excitement. Ket had not slept well because of her excitement from being in Rome and anticipation of the day ahead. Sama Sama was a great hotel with some lovely features.Too bad we only had one night. Great bar with Malaysian girl band trio singing Latin pop. Got to test out the Salsa skills. A great nights sleep.

(On the plane)Finally we are away with a big sigh of relief. It is one of those "pinch yourself moments" that after nearly 17 years you don't have to turn up on Monday for nearly two and a half months. The cold is behind and the warmth is ahead of us. Ket is sleeping beside me and I cannot wait to share some more of the world with her. One night in KL awaits....then eight countries to experience...
