I arrived in Coffs Harbour early evening to establish that there was nothing there worth seeing, so I found a camp site and recharged my batteries before moving on the following morning.
My next stop was Dorrigo National Park, about three hour south of Coffs Harbor, Dorrigo is about 100km inland and is home to some spectacular scenery.I drove up the mountains along Waterfall Way, meandering along the hill sides stopping to look at the views as the rainforest stretched down to the coast.I camped the night for free at the head of Dagnar Falls, the weather has started to turn cold but the high altitude meant it was sodding freezing.The views and the tranquility were well worth risking hypothermia for, I would have taken lots more photos but the indestructible waterproof camera I bought turned out to be not so water proof or indestructible!
I forced myself out of my warm bed in the morning to do a 12km trek down to another set of falls. Before driving back towards the coast I stopped for lunch at a little town nestled at the bottom of the hills called Bellingen.Bellingen is the first place in Australia that has had the wow factor, the small farming town had it all, gorgeous scenery, brilliant architecture, friendly folk and a brilliant laid back vibe.With a 5 bed, 2 bathroom house set in 1.5 acres on the river close to the town centre for 225k it is very difficult not to want to live here.Knowing that if I didn't leave that afternoon, I might not ever
