We arrived in Hua Hin feeling nautious. The night out the before had nothing to do with it, it was the fastest bumpiest ride in a mini van ever. We met John and Diana on the mini van. After a quicky scoot round the block we found rooms in Mods Guest House. As we were walked to our rooms by the receptionist a furry monkey we later called Frank came to see what was going on. He lives on the roof of the guest houses by the beach.
We had a quick shower and headed to a place called fat cats for some lunch. We strolled about and in the evening we went to the night market. I bought some flip flops and we bought our new friend Frank some Bananas.
Friday, we decided to rent a motorcycle and head out of town for some temple viewing. We got one with a few scratches on which was good because after 20 minutes Lil dropped it by the fuel station, luckily the same side the scratches were already on. A little graze on her knee and a few tears because she felt silly and she was back on it again zooming throught the Thai Countryside past farms and villages to Wat Huay Monkol. Wat Huay Mongkol was home to the popular monk Luang Pu Thuat who was famed for his 'miracles'.
We headed back and decided to go for a Barracuda steak near the night market. Garath had pointed it out the night before whilst dribbling on it. We both had the mammoth fish fillet along with a salad and an amazing jacket potato.
Saturday was waterfall day. We started on our 2 hour journey there through the Kaeng Krachan national park and surrounding countryside. When we entered the national park we went past a sign saying "WARNING WILD ELEPHANTS". Awesome we thought, well cow poo on the road used to annoy me because it goes all up your car. When its elephant poo and your on a bike its a different story, Its like trials biking around boulders.
We eventually got to the Pala-U-Waterfall and it started to rain. The waterfalls have many levels but we only managed to get up 6 of the 15, apparently it takes all day to get up and back the whole 15. We didnt have the time or the footwear. We took some piccys and headed back to Hua Hin, stopping off for some amazing pork noodle soup in a place on the way back.
We had Japanese for dinner that night then treated ourselves to Swensen's Ice Cream sundaes. We got the bus to chumphon at 10:45 PM. We said our goodbyes to John and Diana very early in the morning as their bus carried on to Koh Samui.
