After a 5am start and a difficult night's sleep I managed to get myself up to begin my journey: a flight from Heathrow to Hong Kong.

After meeting Chris and Anna at Heathrow and checking in, we said our goodbyes and made our way to the duty free, which was regrettably lackluster at terminal 4 as we had a long time to wait before boarding.

The flight itself wasn't as bad as I'd imagined as there was quite a selection of films on but with the stop-over included, the journey time became 16 hours. This meant we were flying the whole 'day' according to English time and arriving at 10:30am Hong Kong time. With our limited time in this city we've all agreed to make the most of the day and look around Kowloon without a nap.

Now that we've finally arrived in Hong Kong's international airport I'm fully awake and ready, excited to explore a city nothing like any I've ever experienced before.
