I'm back home now after a spectacular four months away. Coming home wasn't as unfamiliar as I was expecting and after a few days it felt as if I had never left and life went on. The weather has not been that great either which has made me itching to leave England again but its nice to see friends and family again.
I visited six countries, took eleven flights and lost count of how many places I visited and friends I made. I have to say my favourite country that I visited was Japan. I personally found it to be the most interesting destination I went to mixing its unique ancient history with recent modern developement. The people living there have far different customs to the West and a different approach to things and stood out to me beyond the old english colonies which was everything else I visited. Hong Kong was however my favourite city, never running out of things to see and epitomising East meets West perfectly. When considering where I would live when I am older however I would probably have to choose New Zealand or the Pacific North West with their mountainous scenery and areas of untouched wilderness making them more appealing to stay in long term to me.
I'm very grateful to everyone that I stayed with and all the experiences I shared with so many amazing people. It was truly so easy to make friends with other travellers how are the happiest, most generous and carefree group of people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I'm very glad I've written this blog to keep track of what I've done on this 'trip of lifetime' but I don't want this to be my defining trip and I look forward to try and top all of the experiences I've had on this trip sometime in the future.
