Saturday 16th Grenada Thoroughly enjoyable tour today - Grenada in a Nut(Meg) Shell. Set off from the dockside in a large minibus with a scenic drive along Grenada's beautiful west coast, through quaint fishing villages and spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. The driver was also our guide, which was impressive when you saw the steep hills and hairpin bends he had to negotiate - often one-handed!! Friday 15th - Day 3 in Barbados On leaving the port, our coach took us on a long scenic drive to Bathsheba. The coast here appears very wild as on the Atlantic. The waves pound in and part is used for surfing. There are incredible lava rocks of various sizes, which reminded us of The Twelve Apostles on The Great Ocean Road, Australia and the Marbles in New Zealand. Barbados - day 2 of 3 Walked to the Kensington Oval cricket stadium and we were able to get a tour, which Phil really enjoyed to visit such an iconic stadium. The West Indies team are preparing for the matches against England next week. Also, we could see some of the England team practising in the nets. Barbados eve Superb Sunset Cruise from Barbados, leaving at 4.30 pm. Only 20 passengers on a large catamaran. Drinks on offer as soon as we set off - sparkling wine, rum punch, beer, etc etc. You just felt life could not get any better!!!! As we turned around after the sunset, they brought out plates of snacks, which were delicious - so much that we are not going to bother and go in for an evening meal.
