Our trip was really busy on days 3 and 4 which is why I did not have a chance to update you all on what we were up to. Day two is almost in the books! This morning we visited Mission San Jose and experience the history of mission era Texas. From there we saw a really well done IMAX film on the Alamo. A riverboat tour followed. The kids really seemed to enjoy it. Our guide was great. After lunch we actually visited the Alamo, the heart of Texas independence. And we're off! Up before the sun bright eyed and bushy tailed! Well...at least we're up. Today we are going to the state capital, Texas State Cemetery and the Bob Bullock History Museum. I'm excited for a great week!

Friends and family! We have had such a great day. The kids got to see Texas History and Government in action at the state cemetery, the Capitol and Bob Bullock Museum. We even saw Governor Rick Perry! The kids were very impressive with their Texas History knowledge. We had a great BBQ dinner and then some much needed down time. This is certainly a go-go-go trip.
