G'day from Sydney everbody!!
Is been a while since i did one of these blog updates so thought i better get back into writing them again!!
Well im in Sydney if you havent gathered!! Decided to come up for the weekend to see Pippa-seemed a bit stupid to come all the way over to NZ and then not come to Aussie!
Cant remember the last time i wrote this, but i finished the Kiwiexperience early and did the loop from Taupo-River Valley-Wellington-Taupo-Rotorua and then took the bus back to New Plymouth from there!!
Spent a few days with the Berries in New Plymouth-and i got to make the wraps again-saw V and Kathryn's riding lessons but im still not getting on a horse not convinced in the slightest!!
Anyways, took a flight from New Plymouth to Auckland-Sydney, getting into Australia is so much easier than New Zealand-fingers crossed for getting back in on Monday!! Lols, didnt have a visa at the airport, bit of a mad rush at the airport but was sorted! Ian got me a great seat on the plane, fab photos of the West Coastline, stayed away from the duty free and inpaticularly the vodka lols!! No worries getting into Aussie, Pippa met me at the airport with 2 of her housemates. =D was so awesome to see her, havent seen her for about a year and she is an awesome cousin! Headed back to where she lives (Redfern -i think but im not sure!!), really lovely housemates and great atmosphere feel really welcome! Stopped off at the supermarket for food on the way back-faijatas courtsey of Pippa for dinner.........and then into the goon room as they call it! (cheap wine-to everybody else!)...few card games and quite a lot of drinks! Headed out to a random Canadian apartment, 7 people in 2 rooms whats that about! I forgot my ID, so taxi back to the house, and out again, and then to SideBar, had an awesome night and got back to the house about 3:30, 3:45, something like that! Really good night, Pippa has some awesome housemates-funny!
Anyway this morning-planned for an early start but we couldnt be bothered to get up till about 10:30 lols, shower etcetc, and cooked breakfast courtsey of Pippa, bacon, scrambled eggs (i stirred them!!) and hash browns.
My tour guide, decided to do pretty much the whole of Sydney in one day so went to Paddy's markets, found a scrapbooking shop thing, tried on a wig, Pippa got sunglasses, and one of the last remaning bloody fridge magnets!!
Onto Chinatown, Darling Harbour (awesome!) walked around the Harbour, to a park and through the Botanical Gardens to see the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge =D was amazing to see, cant believe me and pippa are together in Sydney bit crazy only seems like a few years ago when we would spent the summer at the backshore with the rest of the cousins, and the chalet! Took the ferry over to Manly, and went to the surf beach we didnt bother bringing swimming stuff-we thoroughlly regretted it!! Sat and chilled in the sun for ages, really nice beach, had a look in the shops on the way back-i resisted temptation!! And back to an ice cream shop which was really cool, they take the ice cream u want and put sweets or chocolate into it, by mixing it on slabs with ice cream scoops. I had mint choc chip with sour worms and gummy bears defintely different but sweet as.
Took the ferry back over to the mainland, got some Thai food on the way back. Sat on the balcony and ate-Pippa took more photos!! Lols, had such an awesome day with my cousin, cant believe we are on the other side of the world from the rest of the family! So cool to be here with her, the tour guide has more planned for tomorrow, and i will remember the suncream this time!
Heading back to New Plymouth on Monday for a few days with the Berries and then onto Hong Kong on Wednesday evening, who knows how im going to get all my stuff home but where theres a will, theres a way! Will be back a week tomorrow which is really strange, cant believe have been away from the UK for 7 weeks on Sunday..have had an awesome time away from home but really looking forward to catching up with everybody! Will do another blog entry before i head to Hong Kong =D......cya all soon
