Time for iguassu falls woohoo!
Today it was an early 7.10 start for the falls. We met our guide Lilian at the hotel and had the tour to ourselves. We got driven across the border to the argentinean side of the falls. Here are 70% of the falls so you are able to get up close to them. Entry was $500 peso. First we got on the tourist style train up to the top section of the falls, as we were on the first train only 200 people were at the devils throat lookout which meant we were able to take photos without lots of people. Devils throat is about 80m high however they are not sure where the bottom is. We took photos from the lookout and walked back to wait for the train. At the cafe there were raccoon style animals, one jumped at someone's food, so scary!
We then hopped on the train down to the middle section and did a walk around the high circuit. We then opted in to do a jungle tour and bout trip. The jungle part was boring, all we saw was one bird and some trees. The boat was awesome except not a lot of time to take photos of the falls from the water. The boat also included being soaked by the waterfalls - change of clothes needed!
We then walked whilst being wet the lower circuit. We did see some monkeys on the track because some tourist was feeding them, they were cute but I didn't want to catch rabies. We then had some argentinean ice cream before getting in the car and heading for Brazil.
The Brazil side of the falls was one long walk to see the falls from a panoramic position. At the end there was a platform going in towards the falls, the view was amazing however we got soaked again. Our guide Lilian also suggested we try some acai, a Brazilian mix of berries from the amazon - very tasty.
After a busy day we finally arrived back at the hotel. We grabbed a caipirinha and some hotel food before getting a good night rest! Flying to rio tomorrow woohoo!
