Arrived in Singpore around midnight after the worst bus journey ever! We booked ourselves into "The Pheonix Hotel" on Orchard road. This again was a really nice hotel...Spoiled again. Once we arrived we were quite peckish, so wandered into the town to get some food. We were ended up a bit lost so asked this 15 year old boy with a pedal taxi where there was still food being served, the nice nice young boy said he would take us there on his "Bike" as it wasn't a problem...10 mins later we arrived at our destination...It was time to pay this young gentleman....10 Singapore Dollars at the most....To his reply was 48 Singapore Dollars...EACH!! After a disscusion, involving the scruff of his neck...It was settled at 40 Dollars...But still done all the same! Got our food and walked back to the digs. The next day we went for a wander around the city, place is spotless and well set out. It was a shame we were only here for the day as our flight departred that night. Had planned to venture out in Malaysia and see where all the family had been, but time had cought up with us. Got back to the hotel to pick up our bags and get taxi to the airport....Bring on Oz!!
