The war museam was really interesting and learned alot about the vietnam war. That evening we decided to go to a thai restaurant (sawadee) which ended up in a hilarious night which began by the owner of the restaurant sending over thai deserts then a glass of wine eachand then a whole bottle before asking us to come and join them at their table.... they then took us to a vietnamese club called the butterfly bar where we had the vip spot.... it was a verystrange place where we drank conyak and had prime viewing of the dj!! sawadee clap dance moves from wang were hilarious and sarah even ended up with a marriage propsal whilst issy ended up with long!! we then thought we'd make a quick escape to the go2 bar before returning to our hotel for bed!! The following day we took a organised tour to the chu chi tunnels which again was well worth it, although our tour guide was a little bizarre!! you saw all the places and the techniques they used to hide from the american souldures!!
The following day we went on our tour of the mekong delta where we saw the floating market, rice treat workshop, music, and other such things whilst on a boat we wore our sinh cafe tops which went down a treat!! We then tooka bus tothe border and saw a huge torrential storm on the way before having dinner in a local restaurant and drinking our last vietnam delat wine...
The following day we got up bright and earlyand headed off in a boat to cambodi we stopped at a fish farm and a muslim weaving place on the way however it was a 4 hour boat trip to the border where we changed boat after going through customs and then had another 4 hour trip to where we had to get a bus into phnom phenn!! Our guest house in phnom phenn was the worst we have stayed in yet the bathroom was disgusting but i thought i would brave the shower!! Whilst in phnom phenn we saw the royal palace which was huge made up of a number of temples with some not so monkish monks!! we also went to an incredible market for fakes and enjoyed some rather interesting pizza.... we only spend a short period of time there before heading up to siem reap which was much cleaner compared to the streets of phnom phenn!! The bus journey was not too pleasent with numberous cambodian children being sick up the winding roads!! We arrived and discovered the crazy frog tuk tuk driver and the tuk tuk of love who took us to our nice hotel!!
The next few days were very early starts getting up at 5am to see the temples of angkor!! They wereamazing and well worth getting up early as on the first day we managed to have a whole one to ourselves and on the second we saw the sun rise over angkor wat itself!! The first day consisted of a gruelling 11 hours solid but we saw waterfall temples and many others the famouse one with the tree!! It rained in the morning which was highly amusing as the heart windows were rolled down in the tuk tuk and we were provided with plastic maks!! Each temple was really different my personal favorite was the bayen temple which was full of stone faces!! The second day we took much more easily and went home for the afternoon for a spot of much needed sun bathing!! We even got a fashion parade from a vietnamese lady boy at lunch time....!!
