Collected Fran from Heathrow Tuesday night, but she didn't want any final photos taken!
Got home about 9pm and she had the Chicken pie and Jacket potato as pre-ordered. Also, she had a power shower, which she claims is far better than the bucket of water experienced in India. (She mentioned that the bucket of water shower was the best shower she had in India).

Should have asked you when you were in Darjeeling, but are you bringing back any tea?
Although Darjeeling is supposed to be one of the best, have you tried Masala Chai ?

How's Goa?

Fran doing what she loves best - swimming in the sea!
Reading their local news, there is apparently a large problem caused by the large increase in numbers of houseboats with many rivers becoming polluted due to the lack of sanitation - I trust you didn't get a wiff of that !!
Fran's looking well tanned, not quite looking like a local yet, though she looked like she was waring a sari in one of the photos.
Look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Photos on FACEBOOK are good - see what you mean about the beach - what a mess!
Hope your trip this week has gone well. (Sorry about phoning Laura by mistake - phone ran out of charge just after I phoned).

Hi - I'm Adam's sister, I spent 5 months in Chennai last year...hope you're enjoying being there at the moment, its not exactly tourist-central but great for getting a feel for real indian life...recommendations of where to go are therefore limited...the beach at night is quite fun with frankly dangerous kiddy rides and amazing vegetable bahjis. Purashawakam is a good shopping area (pronouced pushawokam) .... I see you're heading down south to trivandrum... we had a great time on a houseboat which is well worth doing...
I liked reading about your taxi adventures in Calcutta, we had exactly the same experience in Kerala, taxi driver refused to take us anywhere after 6am...so we had to drive from midnight - 4am ... not amused.
I hope you've had a chance to go on a sleeper train...so much fun!
Enjoy the rest of the trip, i'm jealous
Jo
