Last night after the excitement of seeing my 4 berth cabin on the train with orient express written on my pillow cover. It was Suddenly shock horror 3 others plus a child joined me so my excitement , was slightly surpressed, but it wasn't to bad, actually
The child was better behaved than the german couple !!!
With a 5.00 shout who wants coffee it was time to get up. Little did I realise how little time, as all started piling off and I still had my gymjams on.
So with a quick grab of everything we are now climbing the beautiful landscape of Sapa in the early morning unfortunately covered with a lot of mist.
But we are already very high, like all
Mountain ranges it looks very beautiful with waterfalls and those lovely windy narrow roads.
Ive got to say everyone is wrapped up, but I'm happily still in my summer clothes, think my pores must be blocked as I'm boiling.
Arriving at a hotel had a lovely breakfast and a shower. Before being taken on a trek out to the villages.
As we didn't have to be ready till 9.30 I took myself into the village, straight away.
I was surrounded by sellers, all girls. Whats my name where am I from.
Kept saying I didn't want anything but one "Sayer" befriended me, they were all very friendly.
I knew it would cost me but she showed me around the Market as I needed a pair of socks, to go with the trainers I just bought in Hanoi for 8 dollars.
Must say she was lovely and I got some great pictures with my main camera.
I finally bought a bracelet off her for about £3.00. She went of very happy.
I also got caught while trekking through the villages, it's all a game really but you do give in, as its there living and its not much money, so I also own a pretty scarf.
Oh yes I'm going to need that in Cambodia. Not,
But it's handy here as I'm freezing suddenly ,for the first time in weeks. Its also drizzling and considerably colder.Think my skin must be finally breathing .
It reminds me here of a ski village, mixed in with Peru as all the girls in vibrant colours selling with the hills all terraced. Is that the right word.
At this precise time I am lying on my bed in a hotel called The Fansipan with views over. Good name for me . Haha Strangely enough I am pleased to see a thick Cosy duvet.
Not sure what I'm going to do for afternoon and evening, snuggle up with my book I reckon. As only seems to Vietnam tv programme.
Take myself out for dinner later. Few more noodles or bowl of rice, for a change !!!!!!
Knock on the door to ask me to go down for dinner, sorted. I also told the girl I was cold so she kindly gave me a heater. Thankfully.
Tommorow picked up in morning for another trek, then homestay with one of local families.
They have got wifi but it keeps going so I will publish this later. Great thing about blog is I can write it off line.
Good bye for now. X
