Off to London……whilst on one hand this was to be our last stop on our overseas jaunt so there was a sense of the "winding down, clock ticking until home time" feeling, it was also going to be pretty jam packed as we had such a limited time there and so much to try and fit in. Athens….how truly lovely to be back here again…… in some ways it hadn't changed at all, still the crazy traffic and the crowds but in other ways it was a completely different experience from my first time visit. For a start the girls and I stayed in the Monastraki area which I must say is a great area to stay in; not that there is anything wrong with staying in the Plaka vicinity as I had done last time but this did feel more like staying am...

Up for an early start as we have a longish drive to Athens today however before we leave we have to not only have breakfast, which starts at 8, but drive down to Kala Nera first to go to the ATM cos not one of us thought before now that we'd need cash to pay the hotel bill. The first of our 3 full days on the Pelion was a day trip over to the other side of the peninsula. The Pelion region of Greece is our last stop before we end our trip with the cities of Athens and London so we left Kastraki heading in that direction.
