Left Hanoi at 7pm on Monday, arrived in Vientiene Tuesday at 2pm. Its the capital city but again, you wouldn't think so! Have listed it as Vang Vieng because according to this sites map, Vientiene doesn't exist! Stayed overnight in Vientiene, went to the Laos National Museum which was really interesting. We stayed in the old quarter which is pretty shabby but then a few streets down you have brand new funky juice bar and posh clothes shops! Very mixed. The day we were there everything was closed! Love love loved Hoi An! Its so cute and pretty and also tailor-made heaven! Its got so much character, tiny old buildings, mainly painted yellow. Cute little streets.
