Tor's Adventure
3 weeks in...
So almost finished my 3rd week. First two were great, took the kids a while to get used to another face and it took me a while to adjust! But i really enjoyed the two weeks and i got into the swing of holding a lesson but really its taken until now for me to feel comfortable standing up in front of a class! i enjoy it though and im so glad and decided to do it. This week however was all change. Nobody had informed that the classes change once a month, so i turned up on Monday morning with a 15 new kids looking at me hopefully! They were very welcoming and i was the opposite and i said (even though they couldnt understand me!) Youre not my kids where are my kids! haha! Anyway i soon found out that these kids were the same age (12-16) as my last class but more advanced so it turned out easier to teach them. With it now being Friday i think i have had a productive week! I still had my other older kids but in the afternoon.. downside was that i lost my younger kids (7-11) which i had just got to know and they couldnt understand why i wasn't with them anymore, one little boy Huor always carries my bag for me to the classroom so he just picked it up and walked away, meanwhile i was having a mini panic attack as to where my bag had gone! bless him though he was so confused when i took it off him and walked in the other direction! i decided i wanted them back though so on Wednesday i told my translator man that i was taking them for english not him and he was like, ok! Anyway, volunteers are way more fun than Khmer teachers! Il put some pictures up below...
