Well, we were quite a bit more active today, and just as well really. Our first visit was over on the other side of town to Elephant Mountain. Not a really big Mountain mind you, but something of a "leg-stretcher" with quite a lot of steep stairs. I resolved to count the stairs but after a mere 90 of them I was already winded. By 180 I had given up counting and was starting to quietly throw away stuff from my backpack to lighten the load. All worthwhile though ...

Sorry Folks, not much happened on the 12th. I doubt even relatives will bother much with this report. Relatives especially even. We did say farewell to Hualien and, as a result, spent much of the day getting ready for the train trip, travelling on the 229klm train trip and finding our way back to the Dong Wu Hotel after the train trip.
